Food, markets and weekends at San Antonio’s Pearl — an unofficial guide
The Historic Pearl SA is an independent guide written for people who want to eat, shop and spend a weekend at the Pearl district without wading through marketing copy.
Our focus is the everyday experience of the place: the weekend farmers market, the mix of restaurants and cafés that have grown up in the old brewery buildings, the small shops, and how the district connects to the rest of San Antonio along the River Walk. We also cover the background — the Pearl Brewing Company operated here from the 1880s until 2001 — because the history is a big part of why the place feels the way it does.
The Historic Pearl SA is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Pearl, Silver Ventures, or Pearl Brewery, nor with any restaurant or shop we mention. We don’t take reservations, sell tickets or run tours. Restaurant line-ups, hours and events change often, so please confirm details with the venue or on the Pearl’s official website before you go. See our disclaimer.
